Guido Pastori

Guido Pastori was admitted to the Bar of Trieste in 1965. He joined the Insurance Company Assicurazioni Generali in 1972 and became General Counsel in 1979. Mr. Pastori's areas of responsibility were mainly in the fields of corporate, insurance and transportation law. As internal counsel of Generali, Mr. Pastori was also a member of litigation teams. In the early 80's Mr. Pastori taught Italian company law in training courses for graduate students in commerce and public accounting. At the end of the 70's Mr. Pastori was appointed Corporate Secretary of Generali and Corporate Secretary and Director of many companies in the Generali Group. As General Counsel of Generali, Mr. Pastori was a member of CLO Roundtable Europe, a Club of the General Counsels of major European Companies and which has as interlocutor a similar Club in the States. In 2001 Mr. Pastori left Generali and returned to private practise. He now deals with litigation as well as non-contentious work in following areas: company law, transportation law in general and shipping law in particular, insurance and reinsurance and commercial law generally. He is a member of the Italian Maritime Law Association. Mr. Pastori speaks English and French.
